Abstract
Software as a medical device (SaMD) is one type of digital health technologies, which refers to a program designed for use as a medical device. In recent years, clearer regulatory guidelines regarding SaMD have been released in many Asian countries. Moreover, assessments of the value of SaMD and reimbursement pathways have also been a hot topic for discussions. Therefore, we aim to compare the policy readiness and potential reimbursement pathways, trying to understand the policy landscapes in APAC region.
