Abstract

Quantifying the concentration of airborne allergens, specifically pollen, is crucial in preparing communities for the allergy season. Yet current pollen monitoring is limited to a few dozen stations across the U.S. Volunteer-contributed observations of flowering in allergenic plant species can potentially help address gaps in pollen monitoring.
