Keypoints• Success of a percutaneous osseointegrated implants depends on the integrity and stability of surrounding soft tissues.• Tissue adhesives are widely used to close minor lacerations of skin in children and after some elective procedures.• Cyanoacrylate‐based tissue glues were found to be safe with low complication rates.• We describe our technique and experience of using cyanoacrylate‐based tissue adhesives to stabilise split thickness skin grafts following osseointegrated implantation.
