Abstract
This study examined how Korea and Japan are covered differently in American television news. Television news abstracts about Korea and Japan in three networks' and CNN's evening news were analyzed. Importance, thematic content, and orientation of the news stories and the frames utilized in the news coverage were examined. Based on the findings, the way foreign news is reported on American television was discussed.
