Abstract

Introduction: Restoring quadriceps strength is an important goal of rehabilitation after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (ACLR) to reduce the risk of reinjury and osteoarthritis. Reliable and valid measurement of quadriceps strength is often difficult to perform clinically without expensive equipment (e.g., isokinetic dynamometer). The one-leg rise test is easy to administer without specialised equipment and is increasingly used as a surrogate measure of quadriceps strength in clinical practice.
