Abstract

We have proposed recently that the thermal conductivity tensor within the a-b plane in a planar magnetic field will provide the unique way to test p-wave superconductivity in Sr 2RuO 4. Indeed a similar approach can be used to study d-wave superconductivity like hole-doped high-T c cuprates and κ-( ET) 2 salts and f-wave superconductivity in UPt 3 and possibly URu 2Si 2. Indeed the present theory can account for the thermal conductivity data from UPt 3 by Suderow et al. Therefore a similar study of the transport properties for the candidates of unconventional superconductor is highly desirable.
