Abstract

Objective: Trans–catheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) has been widely adopted as a reasonable alternative to treat severe aortic stenosis in high-risk or inoperable patients. The efficacy and safety analysis of TAVR in most countries have been based on outcomes that followed their practice guidelines and monitoring protocols. The purpose of this paper is to share our experience regarding the process for establishing guidelines and monitoring protocols for treating patients in Korea in the hope that it may be helpful to others undergoing a similar process in their own countries.
