This paper will discuss the integration of environmental ecological theory into aspects of Islamic and western thought in the face of the revolutionary 4.0 era. The ecological theory of the environment will be based on Bronfenbrenner’s ecological theory as well as Ibn Khaldun’s ecological theory. Research on three aspects of the activity, role model, and practice will be detailed. This method of study uses documentary analysis based on Ibn Khaldun’s book of scripture and Bronfenbrenner’s writings. As a result of this study, it is found that these three aspects are in line with human needs. Therefore, this study is seen as contributing to the theory and can serve as a new reference and concept to society. Implications of this study apply the theory of the environment not only in education but in all fields.
