Abstract
Dr. Saïd Fattah, Chairman of the Scientific WASP Section on Family Intervention Program, wished to share with readers the touching and incredible story of Mr. Jean-Michel Piat, a family caregiver whose mother, brother, and daughter suffered from schizophrenia. Despite the significant stress of living around unstable loved ones, and the heavy burden of caring for those with chronic psychiatric disorders, this family caregiver managed to overcome all these obstacles due to a family psychoeducation program, called Profamille and due to his exemplary resilience and empowerment.
