Abstract

ABSTRACTCognitive bias is a phenomenon applicable to many areas of life, baseball and medical diagnosis among them. The concept originated with Daniel Kahnemann and Amos Tversky, Israeli psychologists. Biases such as satisficing, attribute substitution and the curse of knowledge affect literature searching as well, skewing the results. Simple steps can help us to debias our thinking.
