Abstract
Rotator cuff tears often present with shoulder pain, weakness, and stiffness. Pain can obscure the observable functional impairment and the severity of the tear. Previous literature examined muscle strength in rotator cuff tears; however, few have investigated the effect of pain on strength testing and range of motion (ROM). Our objective is to determine the effect of pain on strength testing in patients with full thickness (FT) rotator cuff tears.
