Abstract

A model of the human retina has been developed that incorporates human and other primate data. At the retinal level, C- and L-type cells are simulated. The simulated midget C-type cells can be considered the origin of information for the paracellular pathways, while the midget L-type cells are the origin of information for the inagnocellular pathway. The question is how much of color perception can be explained in terms of the parameters at the retinal level.
