Evidence-Based Answer The answer is unclear. When extrapolating from trials with postmenopausal women or patients with history of kidney stones, calcium intake alone does not appear to greatly increase the risk of recurrent calcium oxalate stones (SOR: C, extrapolation from RCTs).
