Abstract

During pregnancy a woman’s/birthing person’s uterus (womb) will go through various physiological changes to accommodate the growing fetus. The changes are to alter the uterus into a habitat of sustenance, safety and nourishment for the unborn child.1 This is the eighth and final article in the ‘How it Works’ series in which uterine changes in throughout childbearing, birth and postpartum are considered.
