Summary
The general public has been experiencing physical activity and sports in a different way in recent years, tending towards a more informal and lifestyle-orientated way of participation (Gilchrist & Wheaton, 2017), such as riding a bicycle or even mountain biking. Such activities have gained momentum, for complex health-related reasons (Hjalager, 2002, 2015; Lamont, 2009) and as a means of increasing the economic impact of cycling tourism (Freeman & Thomlinson, 2014; MacDermid, 2016). There is an entire body of literature on satisfaction, little attention has so far been paid to the dependence between certain destination characteristics and overall satisfaction levels (Bernini & Cagnone, 2014)
