Abstract
In the education field the quality of the educational program depends on the effectiveness of teaching. So teacher is one of the important tool in the whole teaching and learning process. Hence teacher’s emotional maturity plays an important role on the teaching. An emotionally matured teacher has a capacity to make effective adjustment with himself and with his students. This study was done on 300 teachers of Adilabad and Karimnagar districts of Telangana state in India. The main tools used for this research is The Emotional Maturity Scale was developed by Singh and Bhargava (1991). This self-report tool consists of 48 items, which measure five dimensions: The responses are made on a 5-point scale, ranging from Never (1) to Always (5). The higher the score, the less emotionally mature the respondent is; the lower the total, the greater emotional maturity.
