Abstract
This paper deals with Fault Detection and Isolation problems. A well known model-based method, called Parity Space approach, is used to generate a set of residuals. To ensure a good detection and isolation of the faults, these residuals must have robustness and sensitivity properties. Thus, an optimization problem has to be considered. Two methods are presented in this paper to solve this optimization problem. The convexity of the Pareto optimal solutions set is proved, which shows that an increase of the time window size can improve the performances of the residuals
