Abstract
The difference between the physical principles of laser shock processing (LSP) and laser cavitation processing (LCP) is a scientific question that has long plagued researchers in different fields. This paper presents a controversial view on the formation of the laser force effect and maintains that the transformation of a pulsed laser into force energy is due to the formation of plasma.
