Abstract

Educational Robotics constitutes one of the vital resources in the engagement of children especially regarding hands-on applications of STEM. Featuring competitions such as the FIRST LEGO League (FLL) cultivate in children an affinity for and interest in STEM subjects and are integral in honing their problem-solving skills. This paper aims at reporting on a study that investigates the perceptions of children and adults on how participation in FLL competitions impacts the educational development of individuals. The findings show that children’s problem-solving processes are firmly embedded in their FLL Challenge experience.
