Abstract

It may be known that there have been some recent cases in the field of publications where the IEEE has imposed severe penalties for violations of the IEEE Publication Services and Products Board (PSPB) rules. The purpose of this article is to point out typical cases to authors and show how to easily avoid such misbehavior. In this context, it is particularly important to bear in mind that in the past, behaviors that were considered to be common are nowadays rather critically viewed. This article is based on information as presented during the 2022 IEEE Panel of Editors (PoE) Meeting.
