Abstract

Juvenile justice is attracting more and more attention today as citizens, Criminal Justice practitioners and the courts come to realize that our present method of handling juvenile offenders is inadequate. This article traces the history of juvenile justice in the United States; discusses the current state of juvenile justice; and offers suggestions for improving our juvenile justice system.
