Abstract

Details a survey of academic libraries in Ontario, Canada, which set out to determine which ones were using CD‐ROM technology for reference work and to ascertain what problems they encountered with this new technology. Looks more closely at one of the libraries in the study, its history and acquisition of CD‐ROM technology; how the library marketed the technology and how it oriented its staff and students.
