Abstract

Purpose: Hoverboards were recently introduced in the United States consumer market and have rapidly increased in popularity. Concern regarding the safety of hoverboards has largely focused on the risk of fire, drawing media attention and prompting investigation by the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). At our institution, we noted an increase in musculoskeletal injuries related to hoverboard use.
