Abstract

The Annual Report of the National Food Survey Committee, published recently, presents statistical information on the economic, social and nutritional aspects of household food consumption in Great Britain in 1973. It describes the levels of food consumption, expenditure, prices and nutrition in private households during the year, and makes various comparisons with the previous year. In addition to national averages; the Report contains tabulations of average food consumption and expenditure in the standard regions of Great Britain and corresponding averages for families of various sizes and different income levels.
