Dear ‘friends of the people’ My booklet: Corona virus the Spluttered Economic Chakravyuh — Who Will Bell the Cat? After several days of sporadic efforts, of around 150 man hours united at the best in spontaneous emotions, guided at the best of lack of perspective, and constants lulls of despair, distress and deprivation, livid at the livid at the injustice of the absurd situations arising out of covid 19 break down , of the citizens, who are poor and vulnerable, and hundreds of millions who’ve lost their livelihood and face destitution starvation and unemployment, lachrymose tales of migrant workers visuals of starvation, deaths, accidents, and apathy of India’s elite to these poor, who are one-third of the population, appalled at the commitments frequently made and reneged upon by the corridors of power ,. notwithstanding the wracking torment of my back pain, carpels syndrome (much lesser pain compared with people’s pain ), fastened to my lap top form 3.30 a.m. to 10 .am , 3.p.m to 8 p.m. for many days much to the angst of my dear and near, I have knitted, collated, and compiled thoughts for this booklet from my heart from available web resources and has made a humble attempt in bringing out this book to quip friends of the people of the ground realities . The objective of his booklet is already spelt out by me in the beginning of this book. Ours is a democracy of many illiterates. Very few seem to be discussing these critical issues facing the nation during his covid 19 crisis. . Most of the time our politics is mis- focused or trapped in non-issues. This is lethal for the future of the country. Given the massive, pervasive illiteracy there is an urgent need to educate our public mind under an all-out effort on war footing. Nothing is more powerful than an informed public mind able to take quick decisions of consequences. I hold the conviction that right to information is directly linked with bringing truth to light. Information is power and documented information is democracy.
