Abstract

The article analyzes the structure of the architectural plan from the standpoint of the influence of the invariant codes that are simultaneously inherent in such types of objects as a house, a city and a basilica. The invariant code guarantees a kind of topological stability of the structure, regardless of the experiments with the shape of the object. The idea of architectural topology is formed on the basis of analytical diagrams combined with images of plans. The destruction or deviation of the code raises questions about the possibility of effective functioning in all subsystems of the object. On the other hand, it is deliberate experiments with the plan that open the way for us to overcome the normative scenario of archofunction in the interests of spatial adventure and new “architectural stories”.
