Abstract
An instrument has been developed to measure hot water usage patterns in occupied dwellings. The instrument consists of a flowmeter inserted into a rubber nozzle which is push-fitted into the supply pipe to the hot water cylinder. It has been used successfully in nine homes having different occupancy patterns.
