Abstract
The ASA members who have indicated noise as their primary area of interest were surveyed and requested to define what they perceived to be the current “hot” topics in the noise area. Based on the responses received, the following areas (with the most frequently identified topic listed first) will be discussed during the presentation: community/environmental noise, active noise cancellation, noise control/measurement, new hearing protection technology, audiometric data base analysis, and acoustic signatures.
