Abstract

The hot spot temperature is an important indicator reflecting the health level of dry-type transformer, which is the result of the coupling action of electromagnetic field and temperature field with each other. In this paper, based on the coupled magnetic field-temperature field calculation of three-dimensional dry-type transformer, a hot spot temperature estimation method of dry-type transformer considering the heat dissipation characteristics of insulation layer is proposed, and the temperature field distribution of dry-type transformer is calculated by coupling the magnetic field loss to fluent as the heat source. The convec-tive heat transfer coefficient of the insulation envelope surface is obtained by the coupled calculation method, and the tern-perature distribution law of its outer insulation surface is analyzed, and then its internal hot spot temperature is inferred, and the distribution curve of temperature change with position is obtained. Finally, the accuracy of this method is verified according to the field temperature rise experiment results. The research content of this paper provides a basis for infrared detection of its hot spot temperature, which is of great value to the safe operation of dry-type transformers.
