Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is to explore student perceptions of the benefits of experiential learning activities with interdisciplinary learning in hospitality and tourism. Semi-structured individual and focus group interviews were conducted with 22 students in a class collaboration project with hospitality and tourism and sport management classes at a Southeastern University in the United States. Using constant comparative analysis, the results of the study recommended four themes covering all stages of the experiential learning process. This study details how experiential learning benefits student’s learning and outlines valuable insights for academia. Theoretical and practical implications are provided, along with future research directions.
