Hospital treatment system for the injured in urban heavy traffic accidents

Abstract

Objective To optimize the hospital treatment system for the injured in urban heavy traffic accidents, and to improve the ability of hospitals to deal with a large number of casualties in heavy traffic accidents. Methods We analyzed the medical characteristics of the injured in urban heavy traffic accidents, exercised the process of organizing a large number of accident casualties' treatment for many times and studying the plans, and found the specific organization and treatment process. Results The characteristics of the injured in urban heavy traffic accidents included complex injuries, chaotic scene environment, and pressing time. It was suggested to establish a hospital treatment system, such as formulating emergency plan, establishing first aid teams for targeted knowledge training, and a treatment process, such as initiating a treatment plan and triage. Conclusion The treatment of the injured in a large traffic accident is sudden, large number, severe injury, and urgent. Connecting with the practical situation, every hospital should build the treatment system and process.
