Abstract
An asymmetrical “horseshoe” kidney is described, situated both to the left and to the right of the mid-line of the body, possessing two pelves connected together. A single ureter emerged from the right pelvis, crossed the mid-line and entered the bladder through the left orifice. On the right side the stump of a ureter was visible, following an operation on the right kidney 27 years previously because of tuberculous infection.
