Abstract

Contained within the 4th Edition (1974) of the Atlas of Canada are two sets of maps. In the first set, the maps show the value, by census division, of horse farm sales and sheep farm sales for 1960 to 1961. Both of these first maps are accompanied by a supplementary text giving the total sales values for Canada, the provinces and the territories. In the second set, the first map shows the value, by census division, of potato, root (turnips, mangels etc.), tobacco and sugar beet farm sales as well as various other field crops for 1960 to 1961 and is also accompanied by a supplementary text giving the total values for Canada, the provinces and the territories. The next map in this second set shows the size and extent of seeded acres, by census division, for potatoes and is accompanied by a supplementary text as well, which gives the total area for Canada, the provinces and the territories.
