view Abstract Citations (1) References (33) Co-Reads Similar Papers Volume Content Graphics Metrics Export Citation NASA/ADS Horizontal Branch Morphology in the Field From the Light-to-Mass Ratio of RR Lyrae Variables Caputo, Filippina Abstract The light-to-mass ratios of field RRab variable in the Galactocentric distance range 0.5-19.0 kpc are calculated and compared with the results for RR Lyrae variables in Galactic globular clusters. It is shown that the two populations of variables are the same over the whole range of metallicity and Galactocentric distance. At fixed metallicity, the horizontal branch morphology in the field varies with the clusters.
