Abstract

Using investigation data on Plumbum (Pb) in surface and bottom waters in waters from the bay center to the bay mouth in Jiaozhou Bay 1990, this paper quantified the horizontal and vertical loss of Pb. Results showed that the change range of absolute horizontal loss of Pb in surface waters was 4.77-8.75 ?g L-1, and the change range of relatively horizontal loss was 50.69-66.59%. The absolute vertical dilution amount and relatively vertical dilution amount were 0.00-3.98 ?g L-1 and 0.00-29.72%, respectively. From temporal aspect, no matter in May or August, no matter from the bay center to the north of the bay mouth or from the north of the bay mouth to the bay center, the horizontal loss amounts were great in both surface and bottom waters once Pb was migrating through the bay. The horizontal loss amounts in bottom waters were relatively high/low in case of the horizontal loss amounts in surface waters were relatively high/low. From spatial aspect, no matter in the bay center in the north of the bay mouth, the vertical loss amounts were both relatively low. No matter spatial-temporal changes, the horizontal and spatial loss amounts were determined by substance's contents and water body itself.
