Abstract

Normally, manuscripts of classical Latin authors are without illustrations. This paper is about a codex that has one. In MS 9776–78 fol. 51r features a drawing of a monster illustrating the beginning of the Art of poetry. It was added in a second stage, but still in the eleventh century.
