Abstract
Abstract Low-temperature drift, diffusion and energy relaxation of non-equilibrium carriers in a one-dimensional hopping system with built-in intrinsic energy disorder are treated analytically employing a master equation approach. The analytical results for energy relaxation are compared with computer simulation and very good agreement is found.
