Abstract

We present data on the electrical transport and negative magnetoresistivity effect in epitaxial films of Pr0.5Sr0.5MnO3, which undergoes two magnetic phase transitions, both accompanied by apparent changes in the conductive mechanism. It is shown that conductivity arises from hopping processes, while the giant negative magnetoresistivity seems to be of a similar origin in the ferro-and in the antiferromagnetic phase.
