Abstract
In this chapter, cultural norms, human rights, and constitutional principles vis-à-vis Honour Crimes are thoroughly examined. It begins with a perceptive introduction that highlights the importance of addressing honour crimes on a global scale and highlights how they continue to pose a threat to the fundamental principles of equality and human rights. The chapter explores the origins of honour crimes in cultural norms and critically examines how they violate fundamental human rights from a jurisprudential standpoint. It reviews constitutional responses to honour crimes globally, examining how well various legal systems protect individual rights while taking cultural factors into account. The comparative jurisprudential analysis at the chapter's heart aims to highlight the problems that honour crimes present and offer creative constitutional remedies.
