Abstract
Abstract : The cyclo-octatetraene complex C8H8M0(CO)3 was prepared for the first time and some of its properties were examined. A comparison of a protonated cationic form of this complex with the related C8H9(+)Fe(CO)3 cation strongly supports nonclassical homotropylium structures for the former complex and the C8H9(+) free ion.
