Abstract

Mongrel dogs were tested for the occurrence of circulating kidney antibodies prior to, and after homologous kidney transplantations. The total number of dogs was 51. Complement fixation test and passive haemagglutination were the methods employed for the demonstration of antibodies. Prior to investigation, all dog sera were thoroughly absorbed by dog liver-lung-lyophilizate. In the complement fixation test, a canine cortical extract glomerulum concentrate dissolved by cryolysis was applied as antigen after appropriate preliminary tests, while in the passive haemagglutination test a corpuscular glomerulum antigen was used.
