Abstract

In-situ La74Al14Cu6Ni6 metallic glass matrix composites exhibit distinct work-hardening capability under quasi-static tension, attributed to the profuse deformation twins. Under dynamic tension, 2% tensile ductility and significant negative strain rate sensitivity (SRS) of the yielding strength was revealed. A modified Cooperative-Shear model was employed to explain the negative SRS behavior.
