Abstract
Zusammenfassung With a homogeneous catalyst, prepared in situ by reaction of IrH3 (PPh3)3 with acetic acid, saturated and unsaturated aldehydes are hydrogenated at 10 atm without solvent. Turnover numbers up to 8000 could be obtained but hydrogenation of unsaturated aldehydes is not selective. Ketones are not hydrogenated at 10 atm.
