Abstract
The article concerns the dilemmas of an editor publishing, after almost 100 years, Stanisław Przybyszewski’s novel Homo sapiens, which was originally published in German. The subject of the analysis are peculiar translations distorting the sense of the message and grammatical, lexical and syntactical errors. Examples of literal translations of idioms from German encourage the reader to suggest new editorial solutions.
