Abstract
Trying to harmonize all the intuitions and observations he had about the universe by an analogy with an element or principle of nature, Heraclitus stated: "Fire is the principle of the universe." Trying to elaborate on the universality of matter and its permanent change, he also said: "No man can step twice into the water of the same river, for neither the river nor the man are the same." After almost 2000 years, Darwinism developed the theory of Heraclitus focused on the "principle of fire", and postulates that all entities are dynamic and are changing and progressing, and today the changes produced by nature are added to the changes produced by man through technology. The history of human society intertwines with the history of technology, without repeating either. With the discovery or development of the first three tools by man: animal domestication, fire, and the wheel, the history of technology began. I don't know which one was at the beginning, the important thing is that, from the moment man used these tools, the history of technology and human civilization officially began. Obviously, man's intelligence is the first and most powerful tool with which man creates and builds tools. The legend of Prometheus tells us that man received or discovered fire and, using it, man will (re)gain happiness, immortality and deification. Considering history's dimensions, we can say that in a very short time man will rebuild God and all Media tools insist on the expected progress following the convergence of NBIC (Nanotechnology, Biotechnology, Information Technology, Cognitive Science). Today NBICs (as instruments of transhumanism and posthumanism) replace the old "Promethean fire", but man's dream is the same: happiness, immortality and deification. Indeed, we are not talking about a deification in the sense of the biblical God, but about the Greek gods (as Y. N. Harare says), that is, deification is in reality a construction of a superman. What can be the consequences?
