AbstractProperty, Real Estate & Development (MIC: 8.3 SIC: 6798 NAIC: 525930)Home Properties is a self‐administered and self‐managed real estate investment trust that owns, operates, acquires, develops and rehabilitates apartment communities. Co.'s properties are regionally focused in select Northeast, Mid‐Atlantic, and Southeast Florida markets of the U.S. Co. conducts its business through Home Properties, L.P. in which Co. held a 71.4% partnership interest as of Dec 31 2006. Co., as of Dec 31 2006, operated 127 communities with 39,136 apartment units. Of these, 36,954 units in 123 communities are owned outright, 868 units in one community are managed and partially owned by Co. as general partner, and 1,314 units in three communities are managed for other owners.
