Abstract

Diet is an important factor for one"s happiness in life. It takes influence from various social and economical environments such as the increase of single-family homes, as well as the fast aging society. Many of the existing studies about Home Meal Replacement are generally a conceptual comparison regarding consumer’s manners in buying food products, or are a study regarding partial limitation. To Take part in analyzing problems that was overlooked in earlier studies, this research was conducted to find out the relationship between the reality of HMR market and the determinants of demand, with the regular consumers of HMR in Busan area as participants. Poisson model was used in conducting the research, and the Truncated Poisson, which is the suitable model for estimating the count data, was used to deduce the determinants of demand for HMR products. Through this research, we hope to provide a specialized measure for future HMR market demands and marketing strategies.
