Abstract

A survey of 67 home healthcare nurses' perception of work-related stress, self-esteem, social intimacy, and job satisfaction during corporate merging compared with a prior study of acute care surgical nurses (n = 71) during a merger of two hospitals found no difference between stress levels of home health nurses compared with acute care surgical nurses, which is contrary to popular belief.
