Home care becoming essential during pandemic.

Abstract

Background Prior to COVID‐19, the home care industry was not seen as an extension of the healthcare system. However, the pandemic revealed that keeping older adults and individuals living with dementia at home and out of the hospital was essential. Just like the rest of the LTC industry, home care had to quickly adapt to keep individuals safe while still providing person centered care.
