Abstract
1. 1. Proteases cleaving N- benzyloxycarbonyl- l- lysine-thiobenzyl ester and Suc-Ala-Ala-Pro-Phethiobenzyl ester are present in Holothuria polii coelomocyte lysate. 2. 2. The enzymes were serine proteases. 3. 3. At least three of these proteases were identified. 4. 4. Among them, a 29,000 mol. wt enzyme, called holozyme A, was isolated by affinity chromatography.
